It is the Board’s policy that persons in the audience may address the Board in connection with any particular agenda item during the public comment period. As provided by the Brown Act, each individual’s speaking time shall be limited to three minutes. Anyone desiring to speak during the public comment period must use the “raise hand feature” in Zoom and identify themselves to the board.

a. Budget Update for 2022
b. CPI tracking for year 2022
i. Early discussion on increasing assessments for year 2023
ii. Last year’s average was 3.84% increase in CPI
iii. Recommendation to increase BID assessments 5% (reached increase cap) to reflect CPI increase for 2023
iv. Current CPI for year 2022 is 7.94%
c. BID will be transitioning away from current business COVID pandemic support response to regular business assistance and district promotion of business activities.
d. BID expects a short economic downturn due to interest rate increases and lingering supply chain disruptions which is likely to extend to late 2023.
e. Homeless encampment update
i. Interactive map created to track homeless encampments and Illegal dumping hot spots
f. BID board member elections to be held in December 2022
i. Board member nominations can be made with BID Manager, Moises Gomez
g. Loyola High School Project
