A Historic L.A. Neighborhood with an Economic Legacy

The Byzantine-Latino Quarter Business Improvement District (BLQ BID) sits on land that has welcomed waves of immigrants since its inception in 1886. The primarily Greek and Latino communities who made the area home have grown deep roots, resulting in a uniquely diverse culture and thriving business corridor. The Business Improvement District works to preserve its legacy, improve corridor conditions, and build opportunity.

BLQ Expressions:

A Community Art Contest

The BLQ BID is proud to present BLQ Expressions, a community art contest inviting local youth to help beautify our neighborhood by designing and painting our district’s utility boxes.

This public art initiative is a celebration of culture, creativity, and community pride, made possible with generous support from Council District 1 and Council District 10. Thank you for investing in local youth and the visual identity of Pico Boulevard!
